On 10th november 2006 Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf publishers Berlin presented their latest book "The Rolling Stones, Gered Mankowitz, Photos 1965-67" at the Berlin Rock Photo Gallery. Phototographer Gered Mankowitz, being 19 years old back then, had the chance to tour with the Rolling Stones on their first big tour of the USA back in 1965. His book features pictures from a period when the Stones weren't the biggest Rock'n'Roll band of all times yet, but some group of musicians who sometimes had to wait for their performance in some smelly locker room of some sports arena. Gered Mankowitz happened to capture some very rare moments which make this photographic documentary some must have for every Rolling Stones fan.
