Cuba - you mean the island where America runs a concentration camp?

Spode - I mean Cuba where the U.S. has prisons that give people better meals and medical care than they get in their own countries. At Guantanamo Bay the U.S. also makes accommodations for prisoner’s to practice their religion and they are not tortured. In Castro’s Cuba average citizens have rations and can’t even eat what they want. In Cuba proper they can be thrown in prison just for having a different political opinion than the dictator or even for using more electricity then they are supposed to. Castro throws many people in prison with no due process and tortures them just for disagreeing with him or for trying to escape the country for a better life. The prisoners at Guantamo Bay were captured on battlefields bearing arms against us and they are treated with more dignity and respect than any non violent prisoner in Cuba. I’m sure all of Castro’s prisoners would love to be transferred to Guantanamo Bay. It’s like a country club in comparison.

In 2002, Attorney General John Ashcroft announced the desire for camps for U.S. citizens he deems to be 'enemy combatants' Yes, the camps are ordered, yes they are real. For now, you may call them 'Multipurpose Camps'. Death Camps? we will see..

I concur with the point about the barbed wire and turnstiles; add my own about the prison bars. What type of disaster victims have to be held this way? And if it's all about "just an empty camp" then why sink tons of money into it? When do the facts, inocuous on their own as they may be, build up to some type of awareness for us? I'll tell you when. When they knock down our doors. Are we getting armbands this time? Or how about some lovely commemorative plaques, implanted under our skins?
