If movies like this aren't made, then it could happen. Like people think the media should be more controled. Like a certain party believes in smaller Gov't when it comes to taxes, except for everything else.

If you're used to chewing your cud while drinking your "approved" nightly news through a straw, then this film will threaten you like no other film ever has. If you can think for yourself and you've been paying attention to what's really been going on in America recently and wondering why we've been sliding down the slippery slope into the very tyrany our forefathers fought to release the people from - then this film will provide some good answers. And guess what? You shouldn't believe any of it until you've followed the leads it offers and double checked it for yourself. That's what free thinking is all about. Perhaps those who are skeptical about this movie, need to google up the definition of fascism. We are already there. If you watch the corporate news, of course you won't know what is really going on, which is why they want to privatize the internet. This is a powerful movie, made by a man who put his own money up to make it, and its release was paid for by donations. We DO need to wake up and see that our freedoms have disappeared and what's left is going down fast. If you don't take these matters seriously, you may find yourself working in a labor camp to pay off your credit cards. SEE THIS MOVIE and do your homework!

I saw this film @ a sneak preview in S.F. with 450 people of all political backgrounds. The crowd gave this film a standing ovation!!!!!! At Caan Film festival again a standing ovation!!!! This film brings people together and is a threat to those that work hard keeping people divided. JAPCK, The 16th Amendment (whether you believe it or not) is the supposed LAW for taxing personal income. DUH! First...taxing "personal income" (wages) IS NOT A law. WAKE UP! My boss (ID State Rep) appears in the film, briefly. He wrote a book called "Constitutional Income: Do You Have Any?". It gives a historical account of the 16th Amendment...which WAS NOT properly ratified to BECOME a constitutional law in the first place. Second, personal income...in the minds of the people back in 1913 when all this was debated...is considered PROFIT (interest, dividends, stocks). The facts are these: 1. The Congress has the power and Constitutional authority to tax income under Title 26 of the US Code and the 16th Amendment. 2. The 16th Amendment was indeed properly ratified and has been upheld as such by every court case to challenge it since. 3. The arguments made against the income tax such as in the comment above are quite old and often repeated among a group called "tax protesters". Every court case which has ever used any of the so called "861", "16th Amendment isn't real", or numerous variants have failed and failed miserably. 4. The most vocal proponents of these schemes are either serving jail time, under current idictment, or the subject of ongoing investigations. To warriorvisions : Simple question for you , as you seem too brainwashed to indulge in depth , What is the definition of "income"? ie.If I own a car outright and it's worth $10,000 dollars , and I sell that car for $10,000 , how much income have I generated ? Zero . Monies recieved for sale of property that produces no profit is not income . Labor is property . Who owns your labor? You do of course . What is the value of that labor ? The market uses your natural and learned abilities to determine fair value for an hour of your labor . If I exchange an hour of labor for the market value , what is my income? Zero . I own my labor outright and sell it at market value , thereby producing Zero income . Simple enough for you ? Try this: Income is defined by the Supreme Court in at least 6 cases decided after the 16th amendment was passed as "profit or gain derived from capitol , form labor or from both combined , provided it include gains from conversion of capitol assets". Where in that definition does "compensation" fit? Income may be "derived from " compensation , which makes it a " potential " source " of income which is not taxable without apportionment . The 16th amendment says " Congress may tax income FROM WHATEVER SOURCE DERIVED " . A tax on the source is still a direct tax . A tax can be laid on income as an excise , the tax being measured by the "income " that the taxable source generates . In order to have "income from labor " one must profit from labor . The corporation I work for charges $65/hour for labor . They pay me $20/hour for my labor . They have therefore made $45/hour profit , or "incomr from labor" . If the corporation I work for supplies the tools and raw goods necessary for me to labor as required , then charges the customer additional charges to cover the cost of their investment in this capitol and the cos tot the customer is more than the actual amount spent , they have generated "income from capitol and labor combined " . Corporate status is a privelege granted by way of liscense to a business by the federal gov. The " income tax " is an excise tax on the privelege of corporate profit , and other specific activities (importing and/or manufacture of alchohol , tobacco , firearms , etc.). Congress has taxed "income derived from " compensation , rents , interest, etc., not compensation ,rents , interest, etc. themselves .

One more thing , "tax courts" which are NOT a part of the judicial system don't even allow constitutional arguments , and courts have been split roughly 50/50 on the issue of taxes . Maybe you hadn't heard of the recent wins as in the Kuglin case in Tenessee , and the Lawrence case in Illinois , or the Schulz case where the DOJ argued that an IRS summons has no bearing unless accompanied by a court order (yes the DOJ argued that , because Mr.Schulz properly filed a Motion to Quash the IRS summons as you can do with any "real" summons )and the U.S. Court of Appeals AGREED stating in part "In light of this, we view ourselves today as completing a task begun forty years ago and hold that, absent an effort to seek enforcement through a federal court, IRS summonses apply no force to taxpayers, and no consequence whatever can befall a taxpayer who refuses, ignores, or otherwise does not comply with an IRS summons until that summons is backed by a federal court order." This is just a light sample .
